The Hospital’s new accommodation wing is the result of years of planning. Funding for the project came mainly from the HSE with the Hospital making a capital contribution. We are very proud of the finished building and delighted to able to offer state of the art facilities to our residents The new unit was designed by Mr John McCarthy of Ryan O’Brien Handy Architects and Designers. It is a stunning building which sits easily into our grounds and links beautifully to the original building via a glass corridor. We used Davis Langdon PKS quantity surveyors, J V Tierney Electrical and Mechanical Consultants and J P Barry Construction Consultants. The main contractors were Walsh, Maguire & Co and the nominated sub contractors were Winthrop Engineering and BMD. Our team delivered the project on time and on budget. The equipment in the new unit was supplied by Independent Healthcare Services, the furniture came from Homecare Medical Supplies and the curtains from Curtain Services. Thanks to all the design team.
